Once again, Keith took art classes with the Belmont juniors for ‘Inclusion Week’. This wonderful school in North London is a oasis of creativity, as pupils demonstrated when learning about colour mixing during the painting sessions. Many of the children had a go at holding paintbrushes between their teeth or their toes, emulating the different Mouth & Foot Painting Artists they had been learning about – it got messy…….but there were some fabulous, colourful works of art produced! At the end of the day the pupils taking part displayed their paintings in Assembly and Keith talked about his method of working, showing the children some of his original oils and charcoals of well known London sights. Finally, the whole school sang and signed the appropriate song ‘Pink’ to adopted ‘Belmont Boy’ Keith! An inspiring and humbling day – so good to witness the inestimable impact that fantastic teaching has on the children, their schooldays will be remembered forever.
